"Toward a Mormon Gothic" engages the Twilight Saga and its cultural reception in terms of the Gothic tradition in fiction, tracing Stephenie Meyer's Mormonness through the Gothic unconscious, especially in terms of the uncanny, in an attempt to explain how and why Meyer's moral vampires have had such an influence on readers' being-in-the world.
