Do you mean post links to reviews that are found at other Web sites, Scott? If so, you can just copy and paste the link into a comment and it’ll be “live” and if I have time, I will wrap it in html code so it’s not just the URL hanging out there (see comment 1 above for what I mean).

I love stories like the Golem and even Lilith, so I think it would be interesting to find their Mormon equivelents.
One of my plays dealt with an immortal Cain, drawing upon the old David W. Patten story. That’s the closest I’ve come, although I’d say it was more theological fantasy than horror.

I’ve got to say, Scott, despite the fact that the space has its limitations, I’ve really enjoyed everything your group has put up in there. You always have such quality actors, director, playwrights and other talent.

This article brings a really interesting question to mind with respect to Mormon Arts and Lit: will our mythology develop far enough away from reality to include aspects of horror and the supernatural? Will those ideas begin to appear in our art and literature beyond the spiritual (religious) ways in which we presently present them?

My mind goes to Jewish literature and mythology where the Golem and the Dybbuk play central roles. What will our Dybbuk be? Or does our knowledge of the soul and the nature of man prevent us from just such a suspension of reality?

BTW, thanks for reviewing these works. I have been wondering about the Turn of the Screw(long one of my favorite operas) and whether it could be done well as a stage play.

Also, they’re doing The Phantom of the Opera (the silent film version) with live organ accompaniment at BYU in the de Jong concert hall this Friday. I know it isn’t theatre exactly, but I think it’s worth mentioning.
