For those interested in this issue, I’ve so far collected contracts from four different LDS publishers, and it looks like I have a few more on the way in the next few weeks.

I am, of course, looking for more.

The contracts I’ve seen show some very interesting differences compared to standard large US market publishers. I’m excited to get some kind of analysis of this data out for everyone to see, but I really need more contracts in order to better cover what’s happening in the Mormon market.

So, please send me a note if you are willing to share your contract!

No confidential information will be shared, and you are welcome to black out any details of your contract that are specific to you and different from the publisher’s template.

I wish all LDS publishers were as open as you are..

As I think I told you at the LDSBA, I loved your LDS Writer’s Market Guide, and would have published something like it myself if you hadn’t beaten me to it. Great job.

So, sure. I’d be happy to give you a report for the next guide, provided I can get enough cooperation by then. Let me know the deadline.

Kent, I sent you a copy of our latest contract. I would REALLY, REALLY love to include a report from you on this subject in the 2008 LDS Writer’s Market Guide.
